boxing portraitWelcome to My Boxing Website

Boxing was an incredible passion for me from 1993-2007. The highlights of my career were winning the National Golden Gloves Championship as an amateur and winning the IFBA Jr Flyweight World Championship as a professional, but more than that, I learned about boxing, life, and myself as I journeyed across the globe to compete. Traveling to places like Germany, Trinidad, and even North Korea to compete truly defined and shaped who I am as a person today. Boxing is a sport that demands tremendous physical and mental discipline. The most difficult opponent is yourself as you battle all of your fears and doubts every time you enter the ring. I was fortunate to have incredible trainers throughout my career who taught me the art and science of boxing. When I started boxing, there were very few opportunities for women. It has come such a long way--from amateur boxing being illegal for women when I first started to making it's first appearance in the Olympics in 2012. I am excited for all the young women who are taking up the sport and hope that my career reflects the best of what boxing offers to the world and the women who take on the challenge of the sport.
